Hussain Alhabib is an environmental and process engineer at Saudi Aramco. As an engineering grad-uate from University of Colorado Boulder, Hussain’s main role in the company is to monitor the en-vironmental compliance, process performance, and find innovative approaches to reduce the envi-ronmental impact of Aramco facilities. Currently, Hussain is on a field assignment where he works in gas operation and produced water treatment as a process engineer. Hussain is interested in sustainable development to reduce the environmental impact of the O&G industry through engineering and innovation. Moreover, with water management being an im-portant subject in the region, Hussain is excited to highlight Saudi Aramco’s practices in produced water management to industry leaders and experts to showcase the knowledge and benefits of adopting sustainable solutions. He will highlight how produced water from gas wells and plant processes is designed for collection, treatment, and reuse to reduce the annual consumption of fresh water.
