Manel Ennahedh
With a focus on hydrogeology and sustainable water resource management, I am a dedicated PhD student at the National Agronomic Institute of Tunisia (INAT). Armed with a Master of Science degree in Sustainable Management of Water Resources, another master’s degree in water Awareness, Consciousness, Knowledge, and Management, and a bachelor’s degree in Hydraulic and Rural Development Engineering, I am passionate about addressing challenges in water management and climate change adaptation. Specializing in smart groundwater management, I excel in hydrological and hydrogeological modeling, utilizing tools such as GMS, Modflow, and HEC-RAS 3D. Proficient in GIS software like ArcGIS and QGIS, as well as programming languages including Matlab and Python, I leverage technological innovations to enhance research endeavors. Beyond academia, I actively contribute to diverse research and professional roles, spanning from real-time water resource management systems to hydrogeological modeling projects. My experiences range from serving as a research assistant at Digital petroleum to guiding MATLAB courses for master’s students at INAT. In addition to my professional engagements, I have made notable contributions to scientific discourse through publications in esteemed journals and presentations at reputable conferences, including Hydrology, Hydrogeology, Hydrochemistry, and the IEEE International Conference on Sciences of Electronics, Technologies of Information and Telecommunications. These publications delve into pivotal topics such as artificial intelligence decision support systems for groundwater management and machine learning approaches for groundwater modeling. As an active member of professional associations such as the African Association for Geospatial Development and the Water and Development Association, I am committed to utilizing my expertise to address critical water management challenges and contribute to positive change in the field, aiming to make meaningful contributions to the sustainable management of water resources and environmental conservation.
