Prof. Soroosh Sorooshian
Soroosh Sorooshian is a Distinguished Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Earth System Science Departments, Director, Center for Hydrometeorology & Remote Sensing (CHRS) at the University of California Irvine. Member of: The U.S. National Academy of Engineering (NAE); the International Academy of Astronautics (IAA); the World Academy of Sciences (TWAS); the European Academy of Sciences (EURASC) and the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). Fellow of five professional Societies (AGU, AMS, AAAS, IUGG and IWRA) Selected honors: recipient of the NASA Distinguished Public Service Medal, 2005; Recipient of Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water Resources Management & Protection, 2010 Hydrological Sciences Medalist, American Meteorological Society (AMS), 2021; American Geophysical Union (AGU) Robert E.
